Meg Nixon
Meg Nixon is a graduate in law of Queen’s University, Belfast and attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. She practised as a solicitor for five years in a Belfast city centre firm, leaving to establish her own practice. Since then, she has dealt with a vast number of cases of different types and has built a reputation as one of the province’s most experienced matrimonial lawyers, dealing with property settlements on Divorce for many high net worth individuals, and drawing clients from all over Northern Ireland and further afield.
She has two children, both of whom work in the practice. She is generally accompanied to the office by her chocolate Labrador, Sam, who has built up his own fan club amongst clients. Outside work, she enjoys music and plays the piano. She is a regular runner and enjoys hiking and trekking.
Leeanne McCurry
Leeanne McCurry graduated Queen’s University, Belfast with a Joint Honours degree in Law and Accounting. She then attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and joined Nixon and Co in 2006. She now also tutors at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. She has a special interest in family cases concerning residence, contact and non-molestation orders. She also deals with litigation, including personal injury and Road Traffic accidents. She has also established a considerable practice in debt recovery and acts for a number of leading local businesses. However she enjoys dealing with the broad range of cases experienced in general practice.
Outside work, Leeanne has recently completed an Introduction to Counselling Skills course. She likes to keep active and enjoys yoga, music, going to concerts, reading and putting her strong organisational skills to good use.
